Välkommen till Liselottes Dockskåpsmuseum – Sommaren 2026

Nu öppnar Liselottes Dockskåpsmuseum i Östersund för sommarsäsongen!

Välkommen att upptäcka ett 40-tal detaljrika dockskåp som speglar riktiga hem samt nostalgiska leksaker från flera generationer. Museet är främst en utställning, inte ett lekmuseum, men barn är varmt välkomna. Det finns en liten lekhörna och några interaktiva inslag som gör besöket roligt även för yngre besökare.

Vanliga frågor (FAQ) 

Q: Kan man gå med rullator?

A: Ja, men man måste först kunna gå ned för en trappa (finns ledstång).

Q: Kan barn leka eller är det bara titta som gäller?

A: Det finns ett dockskåp, ett mindre flipperspel och småsaker att leka med. Vid skåpen finns det några uppdrag, tex dra i ett snöre, tryck på knappen eller titta om du kan se någon viss sak. Det bästa är om den vuxne har inlevelse och pratar på med barnet om vad de ser, tex vilka husdjur som finns.

Q: Finns det annat att se än dockskåpen?

A: ja, man kan titta på leksaker i skåp och på hyllor. Bläddra bland bokmärken, filmstjärnor/filmisar och pappersdockor, kika i serietidningar.

Q: Kan man lämna in barnen på muséet?

A: Nej jag vill att det finns en vuxen med som tar ansvar eftersom barn behöver hjälp med att kliva på trappstol/pall för att se. Som vuxen kan du också dela och berika barnets upplevelse genom att prata om din lek och eventuella samlande som barn.

Welcome to Liselotte's Dollhouse Museum – Summer 2026

Liselotte's Dollhouse Museum in Östersund, Sweden, is now open for the summer season!

Step into a fascinating miniature world featuring around 40 beautifully detailed dollhouses that recreate real homes, along with nostalgic toys from several generations. The museum is designed primarily as an exhibition rather than a play space, but children are warmly welcome. A small play corner and a few interactive activities make the visit enjoyable for younger visitors as well.

Adults: SEK 75

Children (4–17 years): Free

Payment is preferably made via Swish. Credit and debit cards are not accepted. Cash is also accepted, but we kindly ask that you bring the exact amount whenever possible.

Practical Information

  • Each visit lasts approximately one hour.

  • The museum occupies a 30 m² exhibition space.

  • To ensure a comfortable visit, a maximum of 6–8 visitors can be booked for each time slot.

  • Toilet facilities are available.

  • Visits may need to be changed or cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. Any changes will be communicated by text message. No compensation will be provided.

Q: Is the museum accessible with a walker?

A: Yes, but visitors must first be able to walk down one flight of stairs. A handrail is available.

Q: Can children play, or is it just for looking?

A: Children are welcome to interact with a dollhouse, a small pinball machine, and a selection of toys. Around the exhibition, there are also fun little challenges, such as pulling a string, pressing a button, or trying to spot a particular object. The experience is even more enjoyable when adults join in by talking with the children about what they discover together—for example, finding the different pets hidden in the displays.

Q: Is there anything else to see besides the dollhouses?

A: Yes! The museum also features displays of nostalgic toys, including collections of Smurfs, Barbie dolls, vintage dolls, and other childhood treasures. Visitors can also browse old stickers, movie star collectibles, paper dolls, and classic comic books.

Q: Can I leave my children at the museum while I go elsewhere?

A: No. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Younger visitors may need assistance using the small step stools provided to get a better view of the displays. Visiting together also makes the experience more meaningful, as adults can share memories of their own childhood games and collections while exploring the museum with their children.
